This is no test match. It's cricket, minus the messing about. One of the best stag do ideas in years, Turbo Cricket is fast, fun and can be played indoors or out. You don't need to be Ian Botham or James Anderson. Anyone can have a go. The rules are nice and simple, and the event instructors will explain everything before you hit the pitch. It's 1 hour long, 6-a-side and 10 overs per innings. You play on a smaller pitch with a soft ball so the stag doesn't have to worry about getting a corky in the face and ending up with a black eye on the wedding photos. Nor will you have to wear loads of protective kit.
As the name suggests this is a fast-paced form of the classic English sport. Look sharp and give it maximum effort!
You've got to have a couple of surprises on a stag do. Turbo Cricket has a few of clever twists: batsmen can have as many turns as they like but have to retire at 20, everyone must bowl, and there are 3 'turbo overs', when all runs are doubled. There are a few more surprises, bonuses and penalties in there but we won't give everything away right now.
Turbo Cricket takes a great sporting tradition and gives it a bunch of exciting tweaks. It's fast and thrilling enough to keep the guys in their 20s interested and will appeal to the future father-in-law as well. Everyone's happy.
